Love the car chase in Bullit. Lemans and Grand Prix are great. And Vanishing
Point was one of my favourite movies when I was a kid. But I have a new
favourite-Rendezvous by Claud Lelouch. It's a very short film-he strapped a
camera on the front of a Ferrari and raced throught the streets of Paris at
daybreak! It's great to count the gears as the driver (rumoured to be Jacques
Lafitte) runs up and down-like a concert pianist going through scales! Glorious!
And of course, even though the cars are antidiluvian and the stories a bit
silly, I love The Great Race and Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty
Jalopies.
