A big advantage of the click-style is that it has a ratchet,
which makes it a lot easier to use, especially in awkward situations.
If you are doing more mechanical work than simply rotating the tires,
I would recommend the investment.
Note that critical torques on a Spit (cylinder head nuts, etc.)
are in the 40-45 ft-lb range. Get a wrench that has this in the middle
of its range. (BTW, 250 ft-lbs in a 3/8" wrench sounds impossible.
It would break.)
I would suggest getting the 3/8" 75 ft-lb model, and getting
a cheap non-click 1/2" for the occasional big stuff, like rear hub nuts.
