I use a Facit pump mounted on the near side boot wall (on a RHD MK IV)
followed by a pressure regulator.
Plumbing is with Aeroquip hoses finally feeding a Cunifer petrol pipe to
the engine bay.
Also mounted in the boot on the top of the opposite wheel arch is a 'G' sensor
cutoff switch. In the event of an impact in any direction the electric feed
to the
pump will be cut off.
I have never had to put it to the test but neither has it cut off in error.
These cutout switches are standard fitting in all European fuel injected cars
so are readily available. Mine is made by Weber and is an after market switch.
It is resettable just by pressing the rubber boot on the top face.
