Greg, looks like you solved your e-mail problem.  
I was thinking of ordering those wheels, too.  You might place a lug nut
order, check it out and return it if it doesn't meet your needs.
The tire size issue has recently been discussed.  Seems the allowable tire
clearance depends on what Mk you have, how much rubbing you want to endure,
and how much sheet metal you want to trim away.  For street driving, with no
mods or rubbing, a 13" 175R70 seems to be the maximum size.  I say "seems"
because I haven't yet replaced my 155R13's so I can't say for sure.
