Yes, it is an affirmation of the respect we have for the "Real Deal". My
father spent his 21st birthday (June 6th, 1944) in St. Lo, France dropped in
behind enemy lines. Prior to his "party", he spent months in England with
many other G.I.'s. During that time he developed a great respect for the
British people, and he passed that on to his sons. I would not be involved
in anything that I felt would dishonor or trivialize what the British people
went through or fought for.
