Just an aside to the reliability thing about spitfire electric's and other
stuff being un-reliable.

My parents 91 Vauxhall Nova Euro Tin Box 1.4 injection with cat just went
mad today without warning. 62 though miles

It wouldn't start, and when the ignition was turned off the idle solenoid
would move from extreme to extreme. But stopped as soon as you turned the
ign on. If you disconnected the battery it stopped when re connected until
you tried to start it. Pulling out all the fuses did absolutely nothing, so
I think it's taken over by the dark side (of the force).

Plus there is absolutely no way I am going to be able to trace the fault
without spending some serious time investigating it.

James, feeling rather smug, well apart from my diaphram spring on my clutch
is starting to show signs of doom.

Just added this in the morning

Got the home start service out, they diagnosed a bad rotor arm. He took the
top off, and the plastic had tuned into charcoal, and there was hardly
anything left of it. Once it started the soloniod nolonger ran!

Wierd or what!
