My recollection is that the life rating of a bulb is that by this many
hours you will still have half of your bulbs still working. It's not a
guarantee of what you will get, sort of like the government mileage
rating for vehicles! Just one more thing to show the consumer how great
a deal they are getting while they are getting screwed!
