Shame you don't live near me ... I'd be over using it !

I've worked two places that had big ultrasonic baths ... both of them used
solvent in them to clean electrical parts.

Many, many years ago a buddy of mine used one of the baths at work to clean
some MGA brakes shoes that were contaminated by brake fluid.  It cleaned the
linings really well, no hint of fluid left behind.  Unfortunately, it also
removed the bonding between the linings and the shoes, ruining them but
leaving some really pretty cores for relining.  The scary part was the next
day, when it was discovered that an entire batch of expensive high voltage
resistors was bad !  They traced the problem to that bath, but AFAIK never
learned how it got contaminated ...
