Good morning Douglas and other listers,
MY TD has one of those "back in the day" long-stalked mirrors that fastens
through the base of the windscreen bracket; it was on the car when I bought
it in 1973. It does indeed looks like a motorcycle mirror, and is much more
useful than the fender mirrors (we had them on our MGA), even though those
look sporty. The fender mirrors are just too far away to give you a
reliable idea of how far ahead of other cars you are. Look around at your
local bike dealers before you commit yourself to drilling holes in the
fenders. Only problem is that it's going to be tough bolting the
windscreen-mounted mirrors down when you've got the under-dash panel in
place!
