If i remember correctly, R&T's wear index was calculated using a formula
based on piston speed at 60 MPH (or some road speed).  In any case, the TD
with standard axle ratio requires higher engine RPM to achieve any given
road speed than the TC and TF.  In the case of the TC, the larger 19 inch
tires give lower revs per mile than the TD even though the axle ratio is
the same (5.125:1).  In the case of the TF, the 4.875:1 axle ratio gives
lower revs per mile even though the tire size is the same.
