A company called Lizard Skin makes a couple of coatings, which I think can
be brushed or sprayed on. One is a ceramic insulator to deal with heat, the
other a sound deadener. The company had a solid reputation. I'd think
products like these would work very well in a roadster. The usual prep work
for a paint type coating is needed.
