"The amount of coughing, spitting, re-starting, running at wrong mixture
that will happen during start-up/warm-up/driving in cold weather, waiting
for the manifold to heat up, is going to wear other things (engine mounts,
battery, etc) more than you really want."
"I removed the heater, but looped the intake manifold heat circuit to keep
the heating function. I don't think anyone at Nissan way back when thought
it was a good idea that as you went from stop-go driving to open road you
Air-Fuel ratio changed, which (correct me if I am wrong) will happen as the
same dose of air, but denser air, enters your carbs."

Ya know, I was wondering if it was just my Loreli that had this coughing,
spitting, re-starting, running at wrong mixture problem. I'm in Chattanooga
TN and it gets downright cold here. (I know, I know, I'm not in MN, but I'm
from Los Angeles). My Lil girl HATES to wake up in the morning. I'm hoping
that the Boone Diz will help that at least a LITTLE. (it goes on the week
before Mitty). I've had some encouragement from the list in this regard this
in the last week. Thank you.

Since I'm in southern TN, it ALSO gets hot and humid here. in fact that
season is coming quickly. I also would like to dump my heat back to the
radiator, instead of at my legs (or knuckles). I was hoping to loop back
past the heater core. I don't want to have coolant sitting there without any
movement for a few months though, cuz heater cores ain't cheap as we all
know. Guess I'll have to work on that one. I'm thinking a petcock valve or
two somewhere in there. Just have to remember to run it open (thru the
heater core) every few weeks. I remember my dad saying he was going to do
that to his 69 1600 MANY years ago.
