Ha Eric!!
Of course that moron who hadn't checked the bolt was me!!!! Yippee I
ruined a really good engine!!!!
I REALLY do not want to part out the U-20 but if I am really
mistaken on the condition of the head I do not think I can afford another
one or super extensive work on the one I have...I'll have to see.
A sad fact is that by parting the engine out I will probably come
out ahead if I do a swap... I know several folks on the list for whom this
was the case.

Please tell me you are kidding, right? An engine with that good of leakdown
test (except #2 cylinder of course) and you are considering tearing it down
and parting it out? Clearly the problems is the valve that was damaged by
a loose bolt, which was caused by "Human Error"... no Locktite, lockwashers,
or anything else to keep it locked down? Who was the last to mess with
that bolt? They deserve an ass-kicking... and also need to break out a
wallet to fix the damage. If it was you... well, sorry... kick your own
butt and fix the U20. Bottom line is that bolt came out due to mechanical
incompetence and engine vibrations... doesn't matter if it was a U20, SR20,
or Chevy small block, it would have done the same damage no matter what you
had in the car. Fix the U20 and fire your mechanic...
My $.02...
