On my 1600 if you bolt the manifold to the engine I have the exact same
problem. But, if you leave it off then you can't get the manifold between the
engine and the frame rail after the engine is installed. What I do is put them
both
in at the same time but not bolted together. That way I can wiggle it all
around and get it to fit in. Not all have this problem. It looks like some of
the
seams where the manifold are welded together stick out farther than others.
It just barely doesn't fit. If it wasn't for the funny alloy the manifold is
made of the thing to do would be to grind down the seam and reweld it.
