There was a Wetsons across the street from one of the first McDonalds in Long
Island on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown or Hicksville (yes, Hicksville).
Westons' burgers were better, so the drill was to Mickey Ds for fries and a
thick chemical shake, and then to Westons for the 15 cent burger. Did the 100
yard drive many times in my Valiant that I owned before the Roadster.
But White Castle burgers were much better, and only 12 cents each. Used to eat
5 or 6 of them at a time.
