Ok, another idea - use the old joint and bore out the guts, rethread the
hole to except those universal thread-in ball joints or press in joints the
racers use.  The taper in the spindle may have to be changed, but easy to
do.  One may luck up and get the right taper joint.  With all these joints,
it is starting to sound like a Cheech and Chong move:)

There was a post a few months about that, but I don't seem to have saved
the message and a search of the archive didn't come up with it either.

As I recall you had to drill a couple of new holes in the A-frame to mount
them, but they did fit. I don't recall the year or model.
