Has anyone atempted to heat the outer shell of a used
ball joint, and then use a press around the top outer
shell so that it tightens up against the Ball inside
the ball joint. It appears that this is the way the
originals were made... The heating might remove some
of the metal "temper". If I had a press, I wouild give
it a try.... to see if an old ball joint would
tighten up to usable specs...
Just an idea!
