New car dealers are just as bad. I went to an Acura dealer to buy a used
Acura on his lot. My Dad told me to bring a floor jack to jack up the car.
Lo and behold the car was in a very bad rear collision and the trunk floor
looked like a crumbled piece of rusted paper. The dealer didn't want to
give me my deposit back and I had to get Honda Motors to intercede.

The dealer denied knowing of the damage. BS. He knew very well what he was
selling.

My threats worked. The dealer was later taken over by Honda a few years
later.

Caveat emptor - always.

Mike
