Which is the best year for the Roadster? Depends on what is important to
you. Like so many sportscars that enjoyed a relatively long production run,
the earlier ones are the purest while the later ones have the most
improvements. The 67.5 is probably the best of both worlds but all years
are sufficiently similar that it shouldn't be your primary criteria.

Look for a complete, running and driving car with little rust. Parts
availability is not bad but anything unique to the Roadster tends to be
quite expensive, particularly body panels and trim. Many routinely
replaced parts are available at your local auto parts store.

Are they reliable? My 1970 2000 has over 200,000 miles on it with no major
mechanical problems. It was my daily driver for over 10 years and never
once left me stranded. It still starts easily and runs well even after
sitting for a month or more. Being anal about routine maintanance helps
alot.

Prices vary widely but compared to any other sportscar with similar
performance, style, and rarity they are CHEAP!

good luck in your search.

John
