Yes, the Duggan brothers are getting closer and closer. Last year they came
4th, IIRC, and now 2nd!
Targa Tasmania is a 6 day, all tarmac road rally, in the tradition of the
old Targa Florio race in Italy. Cars compete in various classes, from
historic to modern, and the classic class is hotly contested each year. The
Duggan's have competed in this race for a number of years now, in their 1969
Datsun 2000 Solex. Against some formidable machinery, including Mustangs,
Escort BDA's, Porsche 911's etc. it's a real demonstration of the Datsun's
ability. The rules for Targa Tas. are very strict on keeping cars stock -
even exhaust manifolds must be original design!
