I assume you realise that you will need to reprogram the EEPROM in the unit
for it work on the new engine, due to the new VE etc, which requires a lot
of dyno time. A possibly better alternative to the Bosch unit is the Delco
808, much software has already been written to reprogram the rom.
I'm not trying to discourage you, but you may be better off with an off the
shelf aftermarket system such as the EMS Wolf 3D, which is around $1400 aus,
so near your $700us target cost. It has closed loop, real time
programmability etc etc.
Sorry to sound so negative, but im just putting forward some alternatives.
If you want more info on any of the above just ask.
