Eastwood sells Hammerite paint. www.eastwoodco.com - select "paint" then
search on Hammerite. I painted mine with some normal silver/gray spray
paint. Don't paint the ashtray cover though as the paint will scrape if you
open it.

Mike,
I already have a new cig lighter. My problem was getting the old one
out, which I finally did. Next question. I need to touch up the
underplate and the console plate. There are some small rust spots on the
under slide plate I got. It looks like a dull silver grey finish is in
order unless somebody already touched mine up before. The ashtray cover
looks more like chrome. I thought I've heard Hammerite mentioned as the
paint to use, but I don't see a listing on their web site for US
distributors. Any suggestion out there for what works for a 69 2000?
Rustoleum?

Save your energy and go buy another lighter from an auto parts store.
They're cheap. Use the original pull out thingie.
