I Installed an MSD 6a in my roadster when I put the vg30 in it has worked great
since 91.  I didn't have the original computer so the timing is controlled with 
an
MSD programable computer.  It also has a blaster 2 coil ,this is hot ignition.  
I
used a coil to dist. wire of questonable quality at first and it burnt that dude
in two.  Mine is triggered with a magnetic pickup, but my son runs one triggered
with the original points in his Toyota and both work great.  If you want to run
MSD you will find the cheapest way is the mail order parts
houses(Jegs,P.A.W.,Summit ect.  FWIW  Bill 66&67spls in N.M.
