There's really no reason a GT6 should run hot. I've owned 2 and neither gave me
any problems, as long as the water pump was doing its thing correctly and the
thermostat was correct.

The GT6 DOES like to have its thermostat changed according to the season,
however. I had a 165-degree thermostat in mine and it ran great in the summer
but ice-cold in the winter. The gauge would barely move up in the winter, so
I put in a 185-degree thermostat. It now runs just below the middle in the
winter, but get up a bit over the middle in the summer.

Make sure your pump is pumping, and check the thermostat. It's VERY sensitive
to the thermostat and a stuck one could cause real problems.

On the bright side, it's a cast iron engine and can handle some heat...

Anyway, Marcus, the car is obviously worthless and you had best get rid of
it now! I would be willing to pay you several hundred dollars for it, and I'll
even throw in a couple of decrepit Spitfires!!!
