Good question. I'm not sure why the Slush Season trophy is mentioned
separately from the regular season trophy. I think that it's because
last year during slush there wasn't a novice class. So if you won a
trophy during Slush, you won the open class and you probably should be
kicked upstairs! I think that the rule is separate from the regular
season trophy rule to allow for the exception: "unless as the only eligible
competitor in the class".

I think that the applicable question would be "now that we're running
Novice classes in the Slush events, does a Slush Novice trophy
disqualify you for Novice in the following season?

>If the novice is kicked out of
> Novice after the Slush rounds, what happens to their points?

Slush and Championship Series points are separate. Slush points don't
carry over no matter what you do.

All the stock classes are shifting between 2001 Slush and the 2002
Championship series, so it would be pretty darn hard to carry over
points anyway. :-)
