Has anyone travelled to nationals via airplane/bike? Is it a hassle to bring
a bike on a plane? What about the shuttle? I think I can borrow some
panniers for my luggage (light), but I'm wondering if it would really just
be a big pain in the butt, which is why I'm contemplating renting that car
after all, which is most likely what will happen. But it's nice to at least
contemplate this thoroughly. Anyone ever try this?
What about camping?

* 4 tires, duct taped into pairs, constitutes "luggage" ( add a handle for
comfort) - learned this from Jeff R.
* A helmet bag CAN hold all your clothes for a weekend - IF you plan it
right.
