I learned:
- That looking ahead is faster (than not looking ahead)
- That all of the good drivers (read instructors) left foot brake
- That you can't just 'try' left foot braking
- That sometimes it's not worth going back to 1st gear
- That sometimes it IS worth going back to 1st gear
- That some section of the course will be a 'give up' part (give up to take
advantage of, or setup for, some other section)
- That 'thinking ahead' facilitates 'looking ahead'
- That smoothness pays off
- That too much aggression kills cones

AND
- That Peter Thana fits nicely into a Miata trunk
