Did you actually READ all of my message? I said that if the car is actually
daily driven or close to it, trailering it to a distant event is just dandy
with me. If it's a garage queen and trailered in, it's not meeting the intent
of the Street Touring concept. I also explicitly stated that this was MY
OPINION and that you wouldn't necessarily find anything to back it up in the
rule book.
I was just trying to give you some insight as to why some people feel the way
they do. In STS in particular, the "target audience" (oh, excuse me...
"demographic") are young people who don't have a tow vehicle or a trailer.
People who are competing with their daily driver, just as they drove it to the
event. When someone shows up with a trailered STS car (or any other car),
whether it's actually daily driven (as yours is) or not, most people would
assume that it isn't. We all know better than to assume, but that is the
assumption that is made. I think that assumption is more often correct than
not.
