We have a couple of dotcom folks who like to run their Ferraris (an
F355 and Modena), and a few Vipers and bring them out on occasion, but
not on a regular basis.
I doubt creating a class for them would draw either car back; the
Modena ran in SS, and AP on its two visits (heck, why not?), and the
F355 ran in ASP. Nobody really cared.
We've also had a Lotus Elise run in AP. It shows potential but needs
development to be competitive in that class. The other two AP drivers
invited him to run in the class.
But it sure is fun when they run as both drivers made the cars strut
their stuff. Very impressive in sounds and action, but no quicker than
an SS Corvette. The Vipers, however, do show up for events. Last
Sunday, we had 2 Panozes show up. Debating where to run them caused some
confusion. One ran in B Mod (the only entrant) the other ran in our
local OSP. The BM won...the OSP didn't. Neither driver is that
experienced and the cars looked awkward.
