does the quad4 have hydraulic tappets, I know the bmw M52 motors are 
notorous for the same symptoms, every one tapps after a run, the 
tapets need time to build up oil press again. then the car is fine, 
they do the same thing on first startup.  for a second or two...
I know on these motors it is normal..
