I think the thing about D-Mod is starting with the right car. It has to be a 
car as close to the minimum weight as possible. The other is that it must make 
as much
power  as possible from a power plant under 2000cc. Some of the cars mentioned
earlier (Sprite,Porsche 914, FiatX19,850 Minis, TVR,Elva Courier) that
get close to the minimum weight give up lots of displacement to do it. In my
opinion there is only one car that can be competitive that's the Lotus. Look
at the Nationals results of the top 10  the first 9 were Lotus(type) cars. The 
highest
non Lotus placed 10th Steve Pattersons 914 Porsche. The way I see it if you 
want to run DM buy a Lotus, end of story.
