Here's the problem, I have a 120V Ingersol-Rand gun. It will break
the torque up to 150lb/inch. It requires 10 Amps of energy, and that means
it requires 120V*10AMP=120 Watts. It peaks a bit higher and would fry
those 12V DC to 120V AC converters. When I go to ER events, I get there
early, pit against the wall of one of the buildings and use the 120V
AC gun to quickly undo/redo the wheel lugs.
I also have the wonderful DAMARC 12V gun. This thing spins a wheel
internally up to speed and it "impacts" the socket. It can take about
10 shots for it to undo a 90lb lug. I had one for about 2 years before
it died of severe burnout. The current one is about 1 year old and I
only use it after I have broken loose the nut.
