I have some in-car video that I shot when driving around Mid-Ohio a while
back (2000, I think) for a parade lap. I had a passenger who wanted to
tape the track with her own camcorder. So, I wound up holding my cam
corder with my right hand and driving (and shifting) with my left. One
problem that I was having was that when I went to shift I was having
problems getting the clutch in and the actual shift in synch... so I
wound up doing clutchless shifts up/down.
The passenger was amazed.
I still think that she was convinced that I had a "dog-ring" 'box in the
car... nyuk, nyuk.
regards,
rml
p.s. the video came out really shakey because I had to hold the camera up
for two full laps and it took about 10 minutes. Try holding an early 90's
vintage cam-corder in one hand - unsupported for 10 -15 minutes sometime.
Yeow!
