Isn't this what was done to Senna's Williams before the race at San Marino
in '94? I know the jury's still out on what really caused that incident but
I sure wouldn't mess with the steering column. And yes, I know that very
few, if any of us drive at the limit like F1 and other racers but still,
would you want the steering shaft to come apart at the wrong time due to
poor welding or something else caused by the re-working described above?
Just food for thought...
