Mark---Reverse and first gears are the first signs of incomplete clutch
disengagement, if it grinds when trying to engage either of these gears.
Does it grind, or simply feel like it won't go into the gate?

The SC pushrod being oval or not has little to do with this condition,
but the MC pushrod most certainy does. The system needs all of the fluid
to transfer from the MC to the SC. Very little play here is tolerated,
esp. on the later model TR6's, as yours.
If you find it necessary to push the clutch pedal all the way to the
floor to engage ANY gear, the problem is likely before the SC. As
always, take advantage of the Buckeye Triumph website for details on the
subject.

Since you did replace (no guarantee) the fork pin recently, the problem
could be play in the pedal box linkage. It shouldn't be OD related.
