* Will they still work as a spare?
Depends on they were stored. Unless thoroughly cleaned and seals lightly lubed before being stored, after 5 years on the shelf I’d rebuild them before I would consider them as useful spares.

Subject: [TR] 2 questions
I see on the British Parts Northwest site that there is a clutch master (for TR6) that is .70 bore and one that is .75 bore. Does anyone have any experience with the 2 and if it makes a difference?
And
I know that a water pump once removed will dry out and is not a good spare.
How about a master brake or clutch? I replaced both before going on a trip about 5 years ago, for preventative reasons, not because they were bad. I have always used silicon brake fluid. Will they still work as a spare? I’m getting ready for a couple big trips this year and am wondering if I should bring them along.
