[TR] TR3 O/D Solenoid plate

It's weeping oil (even more than "acceptable"), can I loosen the 4 screws
to add gasket goop without misaligning the plunger/spring thingy behind it
or is it safe to remove entirely while in place without something going
"sprong"?
