Here' what I am trying to do. I am looking for a cheap complete power steering pump for a Stag including reservoir. Since the Saginaw pump was used all over the palace, I'm hoping to get one for pennies. The ones I see seem to have three ports at the back of the reservoir. The Stag only has two ports HT out in reguler in. Which looks similar to the one mentioned for the Corvette. I doubt I can get one for a Corvette on the cheap.
For the pumps with three ports, is the guts of the pump different?

Hi Sujit,
Seeing your note I immediately thought of my friend Brad who has a ’67 Corvette which currently has all components out of the engine bay. I asked him about the 3 ports. Here’s his response:
Brian,
Not sure what he's on about with that pump.
Mine is an original 67 engine and correct PS pump.
There are clearly only two hose (HP & Return)
A couple threaded mounting studs and that's it.
Also, the pump and reservoir are integral. See pic following:

Maybe Ed doesn’t have a ’67 Corvette pump? Does the Stag’s look like this one?
Cheers,
Brian

hello Ed.
The corvette ones seem to have 3 ports at the back of the reservoir whereas the Stag pump only has two. Do you know what that third one is for?

I used a power steering pump for a 1967 Corvette to replace the one in
my Stag. The basic pump is the same but I did have to swap the
reservoir tank.
I swapped the relief valve tension spring as well but I honestly could
not see a difference between them. I was just being careful as US cars
generally run higher line pressure which can damage the rack seals.
