Don and others. Thanks for your ideas today. Will try them all this week to see about getting rid of this rattle. It’s a little more than normal and definitely annoying.

Have you tried isolating the prop rod by putting o-rings or rubber/plastic washers in its mount? That's a common source of bonnet rattle.

the main striker in the middle. I put a rubber cap on the striker shaft and
that helped, but then it came back. Any ideas? Do the side fasteners need
a thin rubber washer between the hood and fastener underneath?
