[TR] TR6 engine replacement idea

 Many years ago there was a guy at the British V8 convention in Cleveland with a Ford 2.3 turbo (not the ecoboost but the earlier generation) with a huge intercooler and putting out about that much HP.  He had the V8 MGB's running scared.
If one were to do that the stock diff and half shafts will not survive.  Part of just such a conversion will be a better diff (eg: Rich Good's Nissan conversion).  Now that Ford finally put IRS under the Mustang there may be an opportunity there.

Has anyone tried to install the ford 2.3 liter eco boost turbo motors in a 6. Designed for rear wheel drive, not too big, lightweight, and has a 6 speed manual tranny.  310 horsepower.  These babies haul.  The 2018 mustang with this motor does 0-60 in under 5 seconds  Amazing for a 4 cylinder.  There are olenty of these low
Mileage motors in the recycle yards from accidents.  Seems like it would be a great fit.  If I didn’t already have a rebuilt 6 cylinder to try to figure how to do it.
