Yes, I believe it was a period accessory. I have one for my TR3 but have not installed it.

Hello, everyone.  Happened to be looking at a '59 TR3 on Bring a Trailer and noticed it had a side view mirror mounted on the stanchion.  I can't recall ever seeing that before, but I kinda liked it.  Is this familiar to anyone here?
