The stock match-up of intake and exhaust to the head manifold is held tight by manifold nuts that close down on little clamps with nodules on two ends.  I kept blowing stock exhaust (not intake, but could be either) gaskets until I switched to these gaskets.  I haven't had an issue since.  Just be careful not to overtorque.
