Just a thought, does it have an STC tag? 

Most (but not all) of the cars that were "updated" after 1959 have a cheesy looking metal tag with the letters STC and the "updated" year.
This is a sample, from my Sports 6, which was made in 63 but apparently not titled until 1965.
