[TR] Tr3, conversion from capillary tube to electrically sensed water temperature gauge

David,

I did it long ago. You have to get a voltage stabilizer, the gauge and 
the sensor. The sensor is the same thread size as the original sensor.

I believe I followed the TR4 wiring diagram for the install. At the 
time, I had the 3 wiring harness apart for checking, and rebuild so I 
just added the applicable wires.
Shouldn't be a problem.
