Thanks to all for helping us out on the overdrive relay location on my
friends 72 TR6!

This list never ceases to amaze me with the knowledge of the subscribers.

I'll mention to "Overdrive" plate to Aaron.

If you are still looking for an answer I can send you a picture.

Its up against the wing on the drivers side over by the fuse box. There is
probably another relay already there; one goes on top of the bracket; the
other goes on the bottom. On my car its on top but it was also added so I
can't guarantee its correct. Don't forget to add the Overdrive plate on
the back of the car!

Hi all,

Can someone tell me where the overdrive relay on a '72 TR6 with an A-type
overdrive mounts?

A friend of mine and I are due to be installing overdrives shortly. I can
figure out my TR4A as it has a Dan Masters wire harness in it so originality
isn't a big driver for me but my friend has a fairly stock '72 TR6 which
will be using the stock wire harnesses and I just thought it would be better
to install it where it's supposed to go.

Thanks,
