If you're looking for comfort, avoid the performance kit. One of the factors that affects ride is spring length. A longer spring has more "travel" in it, thus soaking-up more energy when the car goes over a bump or dip. Also, performance / competition springs are stiffer. The result is a ride that is even more ox-cart like than stock (if that's even possible!).
