Sujit,
Careful with the crowbar, you might damage something important.
Last time I had this issue, on a friends Healey, we used a 4lb soft blow plastic hammer and hit on it from the back side turning the wheel about ¼ turn after each blow.
Be sure you have the car very safely supported before you try this. It on jack stands what that the car is not moving on them as you strike the wheel.
The problem in his case was the brake shoes being frozen to the drum.

Subject: [TR] Removing stuck wire wheel
I have a Stag with wire wheels. I am able to remove the octagonal nut. The wheel can slide off the splines about 1/8" to 1/4" of an inch and that's about it. It is rocking but I physically can't move it beyond that. I'm not very strong which doesn't help.
I have tried the following:
Loosened the nut slightly and driven the car back and forth about 6 inches.
I tried getting a 2 foot crow bar behind it, but it still wont come off. Any recommendations would be nice.
