IMO any quality grease will do fine. If you want, you could use "Marine" grease which is extra water resistant (that's what the zinc oxide was for), but any modern grease will be better than what they had then.

I generally use wheel bearing grease, and it seems to work fine as well.

I want to clean and re-grease my wiper motor gearbox in my ‘56 TR3 while I have it out of the car. My manual states that it is necessary to use grease containing zinc oxide. I have only been able to find Castrol grease with the zinc oxide in countries other than the US. Anyone have any experience with this? Recommendations for other grease or sources for zinc oxide grease? It isn’t listed in the front of the manual but is stated in the electrical repair section of the wiper motor. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
