Every motor unit I have rebuilt has always been caked solid with some type of heavy grease, therefore, I have been using the GL4 diff oil and it has been working fine.

Subject: [TR] wiper gearbox grease

I want to clean and re-grease my wiper motor gearbox in my ‘56 TR3 while I have it out of the car. My manual states that it is necessary to use grease containing zinc oxide. I have only been able to find Castrol grease with the zinc oxide in countries other than the US. Anyone have any experience with this? Recommendations for other grease or sources for zinc oxide grease? It isn’t listed in the front of the manual but is stated in the electrical repair section of the wiper motor. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Pete
