Used a SS exhaust center and rear sections on my 1961 TR4. I have a
header and then a section of braided flex pipe. Flex pipes are often
used in front wheel drive cars. I bought one from J C Whitney but you
can get at your local FLAPS now a days.

If I remember correctly I had to get a short section of pipe cut and
bent slightly to connect the flex to the SS section that passes through
the frame. The problem for me was that a TR4 frame does not have enough
room for the TR4A front muffler so I did not have enough length with the
header and flex pipe to meet the rest of the SS exhaust.

The system has been in for 10 years now and works great. It is not even
very loud. I certainly can hear the webers over it.
